In 2016, the process of long and lasting change for Capricorn continues, as it has done and will continue to do for years. Just about everything will end up being very different from before.
This is because of the planet Pluto passing slowly through the Capricorn Zodiac sign. It entered back in 2008 and will not exit Capricorn until 2024.
Then it takes almost 250 years until Pluto returns to Capricorn. Pluto moves the slowest through the Zodiac of all the planets. That is why its influence is so important and long-lasting.
Metamorphosis
The astrological nature of Pluto is one of metamorphosis. What the planet affects will change drastically, almost completely, and there will be no return to the previous situation.
It can be dramatic, also quite demanding and troublesome. But the fundamental changes Pluto triggers are necessary for personal development. As it passes through Capricorn, every person born in this Zodiac sign will experience this change at some point.
The slowest of the planets is Pluto, taking almost 250 years to go through the Zodiac. Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008 and stays there until the start of 2024.
Since Pluto is also in Capricorn in the World Horoscope based on the New Year, it will have a similar influence on society as a whole, and for just as long.
For society, it means that home and family structures change completely, because Pluto is in the 4th House of the World Horoscope. The way families live and where they live will not be the same. Families as such, the groups they form and the relations they have within them, will also be very different from what it was in previous centuries.
It is like the whole of society, as its population experience it daily, is rebuilt.
For the individual Capricorn, it is about the same. The structure of your life is reformed to the point where it has almost no similarity with how it was before. You change home, family and other basic everyday routines, and never look back.

Since Pluto moves so slowly, the Capricorns affected the most are those with the sun of their birth chart at Pluto’s position in the sign at the time. In the period 2008-2024, every Capricorn will have experienced it completely, but when that happens depends on their birth date.
Still, all through the Pluto presence in the sign, every Capricorn will always be touched by the Pluto effect in some or other way.
In 2016, the Capricorns experiencing Pluto’s drastic influence the most are those born between the 5th and the 10th of January, approximately.
But again, every Capricorn will feel it to some extent.
Nothing as Spectacular
Because Pluto is so important and has such a tremendous effect, nothing even the least bit as spectacular happens to Capricorn during the year.

But even taking your personal horoscope into account, you will probably find little comparing to Pluto’s influence especially when it is close to the position of the sun in your birth chart. As stated above, for 2016 this means those born on the 5th to the 10th of January.
I would be surprised if their personal horoscopes shows a more remarkable event in 2016 than what Pluto is causing.
Watch Out for January 6
On the 6th of January 2016, the sun joins with Pluto in a conjunction, boosting the power of Pluto tremendously. Not changing it at all, just boosting it.
Those born on that date, or the days surrounding it, will definitely have an impressive experience at that time. What happens to them or around them will be of immense importance for the rest of their lives.
A Pluto effect is not always obvious when it happens, but after a while its significance will be very evident, indeed. So, with that in mind, you should be able to recognize the Pluto effect as it happens.
For people born on other dates in Capricorn, the 6th of January will not be at all of the same significance.
Enjoyable Moments
At the end of January 2016, Mercury passes over Pluto in Capricorn (after a retrograde return in the sign). Its effect is minor, because of its speed through the Zodiac. But it will give ideas for how to reason and communicate about the big change on the way.
It may give Capricorns sort of an aha moment about Pluto’s role.
On February 6, Venus meets Pluto. It is a moment when things that seemed to be very problematic suddenly get smoothly solved. It is also a time when Capricorns are inspired to willfully adapt to the Pluto changes. They see the benefits and want them.
Both Mercury and Venus have gentle effects, and not that very important ones. They are momentary, rarely lasting for any length of time. But they are enjoyable while they last.
Capricorn Can Curb Mars
It gets much more serious when Mars enters Capricorn on the 27th of September 2016. This planet brings a lot of impatient energy and makes things happen suddenly, often so that it takes its toll.
Mars is said to exalt in Capricorn, which means its power increases as it is stimulated by the traits of the Zodiac sign fitting it well. Therefore, Capricorns are usually quite capable of controlling the Mars effect, limiting its damages and enhancing its constructive resources.
So, in Capricorn Mars gets significantly stronger than usual, but also easier to direct according to your ambitions if you are a Capricorn. For others, it is definitely not that easy.
While Mars stays in the sign, all Capricorns have additional resources at their disposal. Make use of them, but don’t be careless. After all, Mars is the destroyer as well as the constructor.
Mars remains in Capricorn until November 9. So, you have a little more than a month to make use of it. Don’t miss the opportunity.
A Very Dramatic Date
One date to keep in mind is the 19th of October 2016. That’s when Mars forms a conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn. It is a major event, although this conjunction happens every year and a half, approximately.
It is because the powers of Mars and Pluto are similar in nature. That power can be described as the force of drastic change. Mars causes changes that are sudden, but usually don’t last that long. The Pluto changes take their time to be completed, but then they remain seemingly forever.
When they meet in a conjunction, they cooperate in creating a very drastic change that is quick, but will still remain for long. It is a turning point of sorts. Things will not be the same afterwards.
What happens that date, or the days surrounding it, will surely be memorable.
This is particularly true for Capricorns born with the sun in the position the conjunction holds. That is 15° Capricorn, which corresponds to the birthday January 5, give or take a day.
Those born on that date, even those born close to it, will experience the Mars and Pluto conjunction very clearly, if not to say dramatically. But also other Capricorns will notice it to various degrees.
It is a good thing if you are a Capricorn, or this forceful event would be difficult to handle. To Capricorns, though, it will most likely be possible to use it to their advantage.
